R1 P3 D12...

-0.6 under LIW!  Did not get all of my water in yesterday and ended up eating dinner later than usual.  Either way at -.6 under I am fine with it :)  Going to try a few new recipes today and see how that goes.  Will try to post pics of some of the latest food finds.

Here is what I ate today:

2 eggs + 2 whites with bacon bits and cheddar
1/2 pear and 1/4 banana

flax crackers with spinach artichoke dip
string cheese

salad with chicken, tomato, olives, cheddar with ranch
1/2 apple with sweet cream cheese

chicken with miracle noodles, sundried tomato, pesto
1/2 apple with sweet cream cheese
fruit: raspberries, pineapple, strawberries.  

protein shake

Today my eating schedule was crazy.  Made haystacks.  SOOOO GOOD, but very rich.  Just like those old "no bake" drop cookies!  Feeling very full tonight.  Had more fruit than usual today.  The haystacks are made with splenda.  Will have to see if the scale reacts at all tomorrow.  I have used splenda before just not in such a large quantity.

R1 P3 D11...

-1.0 under LIW!  Gotta love that!  My husband and I spent the last warm day at the lake yesterday.  I packed up my cooler and had great food all afternoon.  Husband even liked it.  I don't even miss the old stuff.  I am telling you, those little balls of coconut, flax, and almond butter, rolled in chocolate and coconut, are sent straight from heaven... :)

Here is what I ate today:

choc coco almond ball

1/2 apple
scrambled eggs made with 2 eggs and 2 whites, 2 tbsp costco spinach artichoke dip, 8 spinach leaves, splash of cream, salt, & pepper. YUM! Put all ingredients in the bullet and then pour and scramble.

Not sure why all of my meals were egg ones today, but probably because it was easy.  Did not feel like cooking today:)  Walked for 45 minutes.  Worked at the candy store today.  Yes, I said candy store :)  Standing over a counter of fresh fudge and surrounded on all sides by every candy you can imagine.  No problem at all.  Life is good :)

R1 P3 D10....

TOM arrived this morning AND I was -.8 under LIW!!  What a crazy 4 days.  I should have known that I always gain 3-4 lbs in the days right before my TOM starts, and that the day I start it is gone.   The trouble is that my TOM comes random with no rhyme or reason.  So I just couldn't be sure that it was that and not the food.   I am now pretty sure that I could have just eaten clean, or done some high protein days during, and I probably would be right where I am today without the steak day.  BUT, I wouldn't change it, because I learned alot.  About the process and about myself. 

Here is what I ate today:

3 turkey sausages
2 french toast made with oopsie bread and 1/8c sf syrup  YUM!
1/2 fage yougurt with stevia and berries

string cheese, choc coco almond ball

veggies with ranch
apple with sweet cream cheese

curry chicken salad in oopsie bread

3 choc coco almond balls

veggies with ranch 

Todays breakfast was heaven!  Felt like I was cheating big time.  Oopsie bread is a life saver.  You can use it for so many things and it tastes great.  I can honestly say I don't crave sugar or carbs.  I look forward to my meals and feel so satisfied.  Love this program!!  Going back to P2 is going to be hard..... ;)

R1 P3 D9...

0.0 right at LIW!  :)   I am so happy!  I did not give in, I stuck it out, and it payed off!  Now if my TOM would start that will make all things complete :)

Here is what I ate today:

Protien Shake

1 coco choc almond ball
1/2 apple
string cheese

zucchini slices and celery dipped in ranch

curry chicken salad on oopsie bread
1/2 apple with stevia cinnamon cream cheese

As of tonight still no TOM??  Crazy.  33 days and counting.

R1 P3 D8....

Sorry it's been a crazy weekend so I will back track.  Woke up today at +2.8 over LIW!!  I was so ticked.  I hadn't really eaten anything different than I had all week.  BUT, it was now 32 days since last TOM.  Feel PMS.  I know I am trying to start and body is having a hard time.  Also day 5 of no restroom.  Have taken tons of magnesium, and 3 doses of smooth move!!  Either way, that makes today a steak day.

Okay, steak days suck.  The strange thing is I was not hungry.  But mentally it was a nightmare.  I was so upset not knowing what caused it.  Even though my friend kept telling me that between the TOM and not going to the bathroom, that would account for 2.8# if not more, I just was MAD!  I was witchy, and irritated, annoyed and short tempered.  Didn't I just describe PMS?? :)

I had to attend a church craft day called super saturday.  Everyone gets together and makes tons of crafts for the holiday and brings great food!  I was fine until they put the desserts out.  Brownies, cookies, cakes, chocolate trifle........ for the first time since I started HCG I thought I was going to fall off the wagon.  I was so emotional.  I actually wanted to cry.   How sad is that.  I told myself that I needed a just one free day to have what I wanted.  I had that argument with myself for about an hour.

Then I told myself that I did not come this far, just to go back to old habits of eating for my emotions.  Today was a steak day, and that was all there was to it.  I did not have to like it, but I would DO IT.  I walked away from the dessert table and went home and had my husband grill me the biggest steak we could find.  He even took a picture of it, because it was so huge.  I had that and an apple.  Wanted to crawl into bed at 5:30, but made myself put on my excercise clothes and go walking for 45 minutes!  

Learned alot about myself today.  Old habits run deep.  But the new me won out in the end.  Now if only my TOM would start so I can quit being such a witch... ;)  Also, went to the bathroom after my walk......

R1 P3 D7...

Up + 1.4 lbs over LIW!  Okay that freaked me out a little :)  But I just checked the calendar, and it has been 31 days since my last TOM.  I am pretty sure I will be seeing it arrive today.  I also have had trouble going to the restroom, so I started magnesium yesterday.  The only suspicious things yesterday that were different, were the sf amber lyn truffles.  I don't think that would have caused the problem, as I have had other sf items with no move in weight at all.

R1 P3 D6

0.0 right at LIW!  I seem to be -.2 under LIW if I go to the bathroom and at LIW if I don't :)  Went walking for an hour today.  Beautiful sunshine :) 

Here is what I ate today:

Protien shake: protien, yougurt,berries, and coconut milk
3 Turkey sausages

4 coco choc almond butter flax balls

string cheese, 1/2 apple

chicken, 2 amber lyn sf truffles

chicken, cauliflower potato salad

taco pizza on zucchini crust. (awesome!)

Felt really full today.  Felt like I cheated too much :)  Keep thinking I will pay for this tomorrow, but I did not have any sugar or starch.  I guess we will see.....

R1 P3 D5...

Back to -.2 lbs under LIW.  I still go to bed at night thinking for sure I will be up 3 lbs the next morning! :)  I tried the Miracle Noodles yesterday and they were very good.  Just be sure to rinse under hot water for 3-5 minutes.  I also think they really helped with going the the restroom this morning :) I was a little worried about the sugar free pudding last night, but I was down this morning.

Here is what I ate today:

Protein Shake: protien,fage yogurt,coconut milk,frozen berries.
3 turkey sausages

4 choc coco flax almond butter balls
2 choc coco almond balls

cheeseburger, cauliflower potato salad, zucchini slices w/ ranch

Taco salad: romaine,spicy chicken,tomato,cheddar,avocado,ranch and 1/2 apple

1 cup sf banana cream pudding made with almond milk, and shredded coconut.
Italian soda.

Did an hour long hip hop dance class.  So happy to have all the energy back!

R1 P3 D4

0.0 at LIW.  Still going great.  The scale really wants to stay at LIW.   What is strange is that even during the last 5 days of P2 thru now it hasn't really changed.  That works for me :)  I just hope when I start round 2 it will start losing again.

Here is what I ate today:

Tazo tea with cream

2 eggs + 2 whites
sprinkl of pepperjack cheese
2 slices of dehydrator onion bread wrapped around eggs
1/2 pear

apple, string cheese

chicken with sundried tomato, pesto, and cream over miracle noodles.
italian soda

3 coco crack balls

burger with cheese and lettuce
cauliflower potato salad
1/3 apple

1 cup sf banana cream pudding made with coconut milk and shredded
coconut flakes.

Excercise was about 45 minutes of walking.

Still -.2 under LIW.   Did the usual 45 minute walk and various chores.  Not very exciting today.

Pretty good day.  I always feel like I am eating too much!  Amazing how much you really can eat and not gain!

R1 P3 D2...

Still -.4 lbs from LIW!!  I thought for sure I was going to wake up and have gained 3 pounds!  What a relief :)  Went for a 45 minute walk this morning and played about 45 minutes of 1 on 1 volleyball in the afternoon.  

Here is what I ate today:

Protien Shake: protien powder,greek yougurt,berries,coconut milk,shredded coconut.
3 Turkey Sausages.

Egg Salad in romaine leaves, veggies with ranch.

Chocolate Coconut covered strawberries

Chicken Parmesan, salad, 1/2 apple

Day One Phase 3!!

Down .4 lbs from LIW.  I thought I would lose more over the 3 days of no shots, but my weight really wants to stay where it is.   I am excited to try new things today.  I got up and went on a 45 minute walk with the hubby.  Then we went and tried out paddle surfing for about an hour on the Great Salt Lake.  It was much harder than it looks, but alot of fun!  Great core workout!  I got a little excited trying things out today, so hopefully I won't be in trouble with the scale tomorrow :)

Here is what my first day of P3 looked like:

Breakfast: 3 eggs, 2 turkey sausages, cheese, avacado, salsa, sour cream.  YUM!

Snack: 2 TBSP coco crack.  Had to try it :)  SOOOO GOOD!

Lunch: blueberries, string cheese, 2 oz chicken.

Snack: Italian Soda!  (perrier, davinci sugar free syrup, cream) Heaven!

Dinner: steak, salad with ranch, cauliflower "mashed potates".

Snack: Coco crack covered strawberries at the movies!

Everything tasted soooo good.  I did not get sick at all.  Probably tried more than I should have, but it was worth it.  Let's see what tomorrow brings ;)

Day Thirty One...

Up .4 lbs.  Back to LIW.  Ate normally.  Last day of vlcd with no shots.  I thought I would be starving by now, but still nothing.  Tomorrow will be the first day of P3!  My friend started P3 today and got sick after eating her omelet.  Let's hope I don't!!  Can't wait for tomorrow, but nervous to maintain :)

Day Thirty...

Down -.4 lbs.  Today is the second day of no injection and the vlcd.  Yesterday I ate my normal food.  I was great in the morning.  Got really tired in the mid afternoon.  Sort of cranky and craving in the evening.  Woke up this morning and felt good.  I am hoping to drop a pound or two over the next 2 days, for a little leeway when starting to eat P3.   I am going to make up a menu today and my shopping list.  Just think....not tomorrow morning, but the next one, I will be eating an omelet.... :)

Day Twenty Nine...

Down 0.0 lbs.  So today is the first of my 3 days without an injection.  I really thought I would see a big loss this morning because of the way my clothes were fitting.  Everything is looser this week, when the weight has been staying the same.  But I measured and have lost just under 6 inches in 6 days!  That would explain it :)  
This has been an awesome experience with highs and lows.  I am very happy with the results and am excited and nervous to enter phase 3.   I can't wait for my omelet on saturday morning :)  I just hope that I stabilize okay and don't have to do too many steak days.  What an exciting adventure to finding the new me!

Day Twenty Eight...

Down -.6 lbs!  So I am back to two days ago.  Body wants to hang out here I guess.  I am very pleased with this round.  I bought a pair of jeans that were one size smaller yesterday!!  Husband kept saying "cute butt"!  Always nice to hear, especially when you are the dreaded pear shape :)  I actually like my curves, I just want the lower half of the pear to be a bit smaller :)  As for the top half of the pear, it has disappeared!  So you can guess what gift I will be giving myself this christmas!  Today will be my last injection day for this round.  I really wanted to hit that 20 mark , but mentally I need a break and I will start my next round in about 5 weeks.  Of course, if the scale moves significantly tomorrow morning then tomorrow will be my last injection day :)

Morning: Yerba Mate Tea cold
Lunch: Chicken,romaine,strawberries
Dinner: Melba,tilapia,asparagus,strawberry choc smoothie

Today felt great.  I went shopping and was so pleased!  Bought a size 8 skirt!! Tops in small and medium!  This day made all the rest worth while.  So depending on what tomorrow mornings weigh in is, will determine if today was my last injection.

Day Twenty Seven...

Up +.6!  Ate perfectly yesterday but did not get in my water.  That is the only thing I can think of.  Going to do an apple day to see if that will do anything since I am so close to stopping the protocol.  It probably won't, since I am not in a real "stall" and I did the mini steak day .

Day Twenty Six....

Down -1.2 lbs!!!  I will forget that yesterday was so miserable, and put it all behind me.  Only 1.4 lbs away from my goal to lose 20# in 30 days.  My last injection will be Thursday.

Morning: Yerba Mate Tea Hot, 1/2 baked apple
Lunch: Romaine,Chicken, 1/2 baked apple
Dinner: Tilapia,asparagus, 1/2 baked apple

Pretty good day.  Felt much better. Anxious for P3, hoping there won't have to be too many steak days:)

Day Twenty Five...

Down -.8 lbs!  Well that was pretty good.  I was hoping for 1 but thats okay.  Mini steak day was hard.  Not from an eating stand point, but from a mental stand point.  I was not hungry, but very emotional, wiped out, and felt like I could not keep going.  I am feeling better this morning and will just eat normally today.   Only 2.6 more to reach my goal this round!  Got up and went bike riding for about 45 minutes around the lake with my husband.  Beautiful day.  But since I only ate one meal yesterday I was pretty weak.  After I got home I was so wiped out and exhausted.  I felt like I could not do anything.  I pretty much laid down for most of the day.  Did not feel very good at all.  Never felt quite like this before.  I also started to pass out everytime I stood up.  Had to make sure and put my head between my knees to avoid it.  Maybe the blood pressure is low.  Which would be amazing since I have always had borderline high bp.  

Here is what I ate today:
Lunch:  Chicken,romaine,1/2 baked apple
Mid Afternoon: 1/2 baked apple
Dinner: Tilapia,asparagus,1/2 orange
Snack: 1/2 orange choc smoothie (not as good as strawberry)

Lets hope I feel more like myself tomorrow!

Day Twenty Four....

Exactly the same today! -0.0 !  So the coconut oil did not help.  Darn!  So today is going to be a mini steak day.  I will just have my liquids until dinner and then do a 100g steak and apple.  Hopefully that will get things moving.  Mixed new HCG yesterday so maybe that will help too.  I find it helps to take a picture on days when there is no loss and compare it to the beginning.  Makes you want to keep on going.  So here I am today, compared to the pic at the top of my blog :)

Day Twenty Three....

Down -.2 lbs.  This is definitely slowing down :(  But I have averaged .75 lbs per day from start weight and almost a pound a day from load weight, so I guess I can't complain :)  I don't know if the playing 2 hours of volleyball last night had any thing to do with it or not.  Also, for every day I lose a pound in one day, it seems like the next day is a zero or small amount.  It better give me a few good days here so I can reach the 20# by next thursday!!!  Only 3.4 lbs to go!  Right before I started this protocol, I quit my job at a CANDY SHOP! Standing over a counter of fresh fudge, and surrounded by candy, can you imagine.  Well they called me and asked me to help fill in today.  I was so nervous that I would be tempted or just really ticked off that I could not have any.  Got there and guess what.... did not want a thing!  The smell was enough.  It was not even tempting.  YEAH!!

Here is what I ate today:
Morning: Yerba Mate Tea cold
Lunch: chicken,tomato,apple
Dinner: tilapia,cucumber,strawberry choc smoothie

With all of these small movements my friend and I decided to try coconut oil.  Not on protocol, but has helped some get losing again.  If that doesn't work tomorrow then I will try the mini steak day.

Day Twenty Two....

Down -0.4 lbs.  Not alot but some.  Definitely more random from day to day now.  But it all adds up.  I think I will stop at 30 days and take a 5 week break until round 2.   I just want to hit that 20# mark so bad.  That means that over the next 8 days I need to lose 3.6 pounds.

Here is what I ate today:

Morn: Yerba Mate Tea hot
Lunch: chicken,romaine,baked 1/2 apple
Afternoon: Yerba Mate Tea cold
Dinner: chicken,romaine,baked apple
Pm before volleyball: melba

Walked this morning and played volleball for 2 hours tonight.  I wonder if I will retain water because of all the excercise??  Overall good day, lots of energy.  I have been falling asleep quickly which is nice.  The only problem is that almost every night, I have dreams where I am cheating, and wake up in a panic, with relief that it was only a dream.  My friend is having the exact same thing! :)

Day Twenty One....

Down -1.0 lbs!  Very happy to see that this morning!  That is 16 pounds from start weight today!  If I cut this round to 30 days then I am really hoping to reach 20 lbs lost this round.

Movies: strawberries

Had girls night out.  Red Robin and a movie.  Ordered the plain side salad, brought chicken and crumbled melba for salad.  Brought perrier and vanilla creme stevia for a drink.  Took the strawberries to the movies.  Girls gotta do, what a girls gotta do! :)

Day Twenty...

Plateau, Plateau, Plateau... -0.0 lbs!  So annoying!  But, I packed my food for the day and we went up to Snowbird and took the kids on the Alpine slides, Ziplines, etc. The picture above is from today.  I was disappointed about the plateau but, I could see huge difference in my face and arms compared to the picture at the top of the blog. That is why we keep going:) It was a nice day.  They were having some sort of Octoberfest.  The smells of roasted nuts, cinnamon rolls, and pretzels were a little hard to take.  I was not hungry, but oh how I wanted some :)  Instead I pulled out my lunch box of romaine, chicken, melba, and orange.   It tasted good, but not cinnamon roll good!  

Here is what I ate today:
Morning: Yerba Mate Tea cold
Lunch: chicken, romaine, melba, orange
Dinner: tilapia, asparagus, strawberry choc smoothie
Eve: tea

Still debating the weighing every day thing.  Also considering cutting this round to 30 days, and doing 1-2 short rounds by the end of January to finish off.  Most people are getting the bulk of their results in the first 23-30 days, and also the longer you are carb restricted, the harder they are to re-introduce.  Probably will decide by Weds.  If tomorrow is another 0.0 then I will consider doing the apple day.  Doesn't sound very good, but if it gets things moving then I will conquer :)
