R2 P4 D4...

Down to -0.2 under LIW! Going to add in ezekiel bread with breakfast this morning.

Here is what I ate today:

Almond flax ball, tea with cream

2 eggs + 2 whites
3 turkey sausages
1 slice ezekiel bread with butter
1/4 apple

string cheese

1 cup fage with raspberries, apples, macadamias, coconut flakes and cinnamon
coconut almond bark

almond flax ball

hamburger "stuff" (see recipe below)
1/2 pear

Italian soda, 1 sf candy

This was soooo good!

1 lb hamburger
1 can ro-tel tomatoes
4-6 oz cream cheese
chili powder and sprinkle of taco seasoning to taste
salt and pepper to taste

brown hamburger and drain. Add tomatoes. Add cream cheese until melted a bubbly. I put this over a bed of shredded cabbage. AWESOME!

Also, put in 1/2 hour on the treadmill.

R2 P4 D3...

0.0 right at LIW! Yeah! I was worried the late soup with sodium was going to cause a problem, but I am fine with this :)

Here is what I ate today:

2 eggs + 2 whites with bacon and cheddar
muffin with cream cheese

1 cup fage with raspberries, apples, macadamias, coconut flakes, cinnamon, and stevia

almonds, string cheese, and flax ball

can of tuna with celery, 1/2 pear, onion crackers, muffin with cream cheese

choc coco almond bark, tea with cream

Put up the tree today!

R2 P4 D2...

TOM arrived last night and all is well with the world :) Back to -0.8 under LIW!! Steak day wasn't so bad. I am never really hungry, just mad :) But so nice to know that they work!

Here is what I ate today:

protein shake
muffin with cream cheese

almonds, flax ball, string cheese

red robin cobb salad, diet coke

3 sf candies at the movies

cafe rio tortilla soup

choc coco almond bark, flax ball

tea with cream

Had relatives in town. Had to eat out most of the day. Did well, but am a little nervous because I had to eat the soup late and could tell there was a bit of sodium in there :) It was really good, but probably not good so late in the day.

Phase 4 begins......with a steak day!

Okay, I am very surprised to be +2.6 above LIW! I really did not eat badly at all! I did have the agave pumpkin cheesecake, and the tiny pieces of pumpkin pie and apple crisp. I use agave already, but not as much as what I put in the cheesecake. Also, like I said before I should be gaining for TOM. I am a little disappointed for such a gain with a very small cheat, but not knowing how much is TOM makes that hard to tell. Oh well, it is what it is :) Steak Day today!

Here is what I ate today:

tons of chicken breast!

And of course after dinner TOM ARRIVED!! I knew it. So that would explain it. I always gain about 3 lbs right before I start. I probably could have just done a high protein day and been fine, but thats okay. Steak days are a good reminder once in a while :)

R2 P3 D21...

Same as yesterday! -0.6 under LIW! Let's see how tomorrow is after Thanksgiving dinner :)

Here is what I ate today:

2 eggs + 2 whites, bacon and cheddar
muffin with cream cheese

string cheese, raspberries and almonds

1 sf candy

veggies with dip
green beans
mashed cauliflower
diet coke

slice of pumpkin cheesecake made with agave, sliver pumpkin pie, 1 spoonful of the apple crisp, home made whip cream.

I actually did really well today. The cheats I had were the dessert. I did not have as much protein as usual and I probably did not get enough water. I felt good, but feel like I have some water retention. I should be gaining for TOM too.

R2 P3 D20...

Back to -0.6 under LIW! Not sure if the scale was just whacky yesterday or if I will be starting my gain for TOM. I always gain about 3 lbs in the 3 days before TOM starts, and then when it does start it is gone. According to my calculations I should start TOM anytime the 27th - 30th, which means I should start gaining between the 25th and the 27th. Which is kind of a bummer because I wanted to see how Thanksgiving eating affected me and now I won't know if it is because of TOM or the food. The only steak day I have had to do, was last p3, on the day before TOM started. Guess I will just have to see:)

Here is what I ate today:

2 eggs + 2 whites with bacon and cheddar
muffin with cream cheese

raspberries, string cheese, almonds

tuna, onion bread, celery and 1/2 pear, macaroon cookie

1/2 pear and muffin with cream cheese

fage yogurt with berries, macadamias, and coconut
flax and onion cracker topped with 1 oz cheddar

Tried making a pumpkin cheesecake with agave. We will see how it turns out :)

R2 P3 D19...

Down -1.4 lbs from LIW! So, eating 3 macaroon cookies isn't such a bad thing after all :) I am not sure what caused the pound drop?? BUT, I will take it! I really think eating dinner by 5:30- 6:00 and then doing only around 100-150 after that is making all the difference.

R2 P3 D17...

Still -0.6 under LIW! I can't believe it. My weight is just sitting here and I have eaten out the past 2 days, and also had some sf candies. I have made sure to eat dinner by about 5:30 and then only have about 100-150 cals after that. If I do that, then my body is letting me eat what ever I want. Only 4 more days of P3. I really don't have much desire to go to P4. There is not much I feel I need to add. A couple of things I might add are ezekiel bread, and maybe oatmeal. I also like larabars or trio bars so I guess I could try adding some of those too. Other than that P3 is fine with me :0)

Here is what I ate today:

2 eggs + 2 whites sprinkle of bacon and cheddar
banana muffin with cream cheese

string cheese, almonds

1 cup fage, 1/2 c fresh raspberries, coconut flakes, macadamia nuts
1 slice deyhdrator onion bread w/ 1 ounce melted cheddar

2 homemade coconut macaroon cookies

double cheese burger, diet coke, apple

coconut almond bark

R2 P3 D16...

Down -0.6 under LIW. I thought for sure I would be up this morning. I really think the eating dinner at 5:30 and then only 100-150 cals after that is making a difference. The dove sf candies were really good at the movies:)

string cheese, almonds, 1/2 apple

tuna with celery, onion crackers, dove sf chocolate

In-n-Out double double burger protein style (no bun, wrapped in lettuce), diet coke

3 sf candies at the movies

Very good day. I am a little nervous about 2 days eating out and the sf candies, but I seem to be doing ok. In-n-Out just opened here in Utah. Had to wait about 40 minutes to order, but it was worth it. So good. I will be happy to have an option while running errands if I don't gain with this. They don't use any fillers, additives, or preservatives to their beef.

R2 P3 D15...

Same as yesterday, -0.4 under LIW! Still at 151.4!! Very happy about that :) I think I have had water retention since that first day of p3 when I got the hunger edema, and it finally left when I did the high protein day two days ago. I also am seeing good results when I eat dinner around 5:30 and work out after that at night. I still have a treat like the almond bark, but nothing else. I was on the treadmill for about 45 minutes yesterday. Boy am I sore from volleyball the night before. I guess thats what happens when you haven't played in a few months!!

Here is what I ate today:

fage yogurt with berries, coconut flakes, and almonds
muffin with cream cheese

12 almonds, string cheese

tuna with celery, dehydrator onion bread, coconut almond bark

muffin with cream cheese

red robin sour cream ranch chicken sandwich (no bun, ranch on the side, no fries, fruit

3 dove sf chocolates

I am really liking being back at or under LIW. Hopefully my restaurant eating or sf candies doesn't throw that for a loop :)

R2 P3 D14....

Down 2.0 lbs! That is -0.4 lbs under LIW. That is the first time this P3 that I have been under LIW. Glad I was able to do the high protein day and not a steak day :) I must have had some water retention because I was peeing all day yesterday! I walked for a 1/2 hour on the treadmill, and played volleyball for 2 hrs! So much fun!!

Here is what I ate today:

protein shake, muffin with cream cheese

apple, string cheese, 12 almonds

1 cup fage, 1/2 c berries, hard boiled egg, muffin with cream cheese

salad with tuna and ranch, slice dehydrator onion bread

chocolate coconut almond bark

Good food. I am a little worried about the 2 muffins, and I have not had a full cup of fage at one time so far. We will see what tomorrow brings :)

Up +2.2 lbs! Steak day today. I guess I can't complain because I really haven't had to do that except for once last round. Although, I really want to know what caused it. The only things I can think of are:

Well I realized that I had eaten really late last night. After reading the boards I saw that many people had issues if they eat late. So I waited a few hours and went to the bathroom :), and I was back to the same weight as yesterday. 153.4. That is still + 1.6 above LIW, so I decided to do a high protein day.

Here is what I ate today:

tea with cream, 1 hard boiled egg

1 can tuna with mayo, celery

steak,salad with ranch, 1 oz cheddar

So lets hope things move back down a little :)

R2 P3 D12...

Up a pound from yesterday! +1.6 from LIW. Not sure what that is about. I did not eat anything new yesterday, but I did try running for the first time. I was sore afterwards, so my guess is I retained a little from the running :)

R2 P3 D11...

Back to 152.4! That's +.6 above LIW. Body likes this number or right around it. I was a little nervous about my restaurant meal and sodium, but it seemed to do ok. And that cobb salad at Red Robin is to die for!

Here is what I ate today:

apple pie protein shake, banana muffin with cream cheese

string cheese, 10 almonds

tuna fish on celery sticks, pear, 2 pieces dark choc

1 oz cheddar, 1/2 muffin with cream cheese, 1/2 tangerine

hamburger w/pepper jack, salad, 1/2 baked apple

chocolate coconut almond bark

Put in 45 minutes on the treadmill. Hope you all are doing well. I really love p3! ;)

R2 P3 D10... Coconut Almond Bark Recipe

Down this morning to +.4 over LIW! I think it has come down a little due to ovulation being done. It snowed yesterday, which is very annoying, but at least the sun is out this morning and it looks pretty ;) Even inspired me to put in a 45 minute walk!

Here is what I ate today:

protein shake, banana muffins

red robin cobb salad with a diet coke

1 piece of dark choc, 1 sf pecan delight

chicken, broccoli, 1/2 apple

coconut almond bark

The new banana muffins turned out awesome! I am completely hooked on the coconut almond bark. It is so easy to make and completely legal with only stevia.

2 tbsp organic virgin coconut oil melted
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
5 drops english toffee stevia, 1 packet NuStevia sweetener
about 10 almonds and 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut

Mix all together and spread on paper plate or tin foil and put in the fridge for about 1/2 hour till hardened. Break and eat. I put my almonds and coconut in my magic bullet to crush them before adding them to the coconut oil, cocoa mixture. SO GOOD!

Down .2 lbs! Now +.8 above LIW. Fine with me. I had some sf candy at the movie and made my own huge italian soda (in our theater mug). I was a little worried that might give me problems this morning, but all is good :)

2 eggs + 2 whites with bacon and cheddar, 1/2 pear

10 almonds, 1/2 pear, string cheese

10 almonds, 1 piece dark chocolate

McD's angus burger deluxe (no bun), apples

R2 P3 D8...

Up +1.0 over LIW! After reviewing the last week it looks like my body wants to stay somewhere around .5 to 1.0 over LIW. Thats pretty good. It seems pretty stable and not doing large jumps. I am pretty sure I am ovulating this week so it could be slightly higher due to that. We will see if it goes back down. If not, one pound over is okay with me :)

10 almonds, string cheese

chicken, mashed cauliflower, pear

coconut almond bark, 1 oz cheddar

Back to that same number 152.4! That puts me at +.6 lbs above LIW. I bought a new box of altoids and did not even think to look at the ingredients. Sugar is the number one ingredient! I will not be having those anymore :) Need to go get the sugar free mints.

+1.2 above LIW! I knew that pumpkin muffin and sf candy were going to do me in that late at night :) I will be a good girl today, and have less treats! Of course it's ironic I say that on a day I have to work at the candy store :)

Did high protein today. Tried my friends new recipe for flax/coconut flour banana muffins. SOOO GOOOD!

Down .6 lbs! That puts me just +.2 lb over LIW. I have been eating a ton. And all of the great food I ate last p3, seems to be a-okay this round too! I feel so much better :)

string cheese, 1/2 apple, almond flax ball

tuna salad, celery and zucchini with ranch, 1/2 apple w/ cream cheese, sf mint patty

sf pecan delight

Very full! :) Tried pumpkin muffin. Pretty good, but a little dry. I think I cooked them a little too long :)

R2 P3 D4...

Up a little from yesterday. +0.8 lbs from LIW. I am okay with that. I know it is common to lock in somewhere in the 2 lb range. I was just hoping it was my LIW or lower like last time. But maybe this time it will be different. Last time I did a steak day, I went right back to my LIW. This time I did the steak and cheese day it went back to 152.4 which is .6 above LIW. That was also my weight the morning of the last day of no shot/500 cal. Makes me wonder if that is what my body has chosen for my LIW??

R2 P3 D3...

Down 1.4 lbs! That puts me at +.6 above LIW. I was really hoping I would just go back to my LIW, but I am so happy to see this. It was a horrible day yesterday. I kept thinking, what if I wake up and it is even higher tomorrow? Last p3 was so simple. Maybe things will mellow out as the week goes on....

Here is what I ate today:

Protein shake: protein, 1 c coconut milk, 1/3c yogurt, 1/2c berries.
1 coconut flour muffin with butter

1 oz cheese, tangerine, haystack

steak, cabbage sauteed in butter, 1/4 apple with cream cheese

chocolate almond flax ball

egg salad, celery, cucumber, ranch and 1/4 apple

Felt much better today. Walked for about an hour, and played volleyball for about 1/2 hour. Praying the scale will be kind tomorrow.

R2 P3 D2....

Up +2.0 lbs! I am definitely having some sort of problem. Yesterday I thought it was all in my head that I felt "fatter" in my pants, because I had been up a pound that morning. But by night, I went to take off my pants and they were glued to my legs! I looked down and my legs were swollen to the point I had no ankles and my calfs were puffy and tight. The only other time I have had this was when I had problems at the end of my pregnancies. Definite edema. I can see that I obviously have water retention, but am not sure what to do. The book talks about hunger edema where you have not had enough protein and it triggers edema, but he says to eat a really hight protein day and it should be gone. I did have quit a bit of protein yesterday, but this morning I am still up .8 lbs. But with all that water in my legs last night, I assume to have a higher weight. I don't know whether to do a steak day or try that just protein day he talked about.

1 oz cheese


chicken breast

3 oz cheese

This better work. I am having such a hard time with this.... :(
