It is freezing outside, and that makes me sad.... I want spring, summer, and fall, year round.... : )
Here is what I ate today:
Protein shake with strawberries, cocoa, cinnamon and coconut extract
grissini
1/4 apple
tilapia, asparagus, 1/2 baked apple
1/4 apple
Decided to do one grissini. Hunger went back to normal today. I swear it was switching the shot locations. I am normally not too hungry all day and have the hardest time later at night. When I switched the injection to my legs I was starving until after my noon meal and then good during the day with no hunger at night. Strange. I would really like to meet my goal tomorrow..... but I have had good losses along with a pound yesterday, so I know that might not happen. Here's to hoping....... ;)
Any advice for a plateau? I guess I could do an apple day but how Dr. Simeons says its for your head. Wow - plateaus though play w/ your head! It is TOM also. I wonder if that has anything to do with it...

I was just commenting on yesterdays post :) The dreaded plateau. I can't say I ever had a REAL plateau that lasted the true 4-5 days with no loss at all. But there was a point where I would have 0, then .2, 0, then .4 etc. It was so tough mentally. I was very emotional on days I did not lose. It was like, if I am going to work this hard, then I better get good results!! I did not lose anything the day TOM started, but lost on all the other days. Some people do not lose at all or even gain during TOM, but almost always get a big loss when it is done. If you are on TOM I am almost positive that is what it is. How long have you not lost? How long on TOM? I did try an apple day, and only lost .2 lbs. If you look at my R1 weigh ins I started having issues right before the 24th injection. So I did a mini steak day on the 24th day. I lost 1lb on day 25 and .8 on day 26. After that I just bounced around but never went any lower. The mini steak day is where you don't eat all day, just water. At dinner eat 200g protein and an apple. It did seem to kick start for me.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I am this close!! I think I would like to buy a new pair of jeans since I am going to just try to maintain until next year. I went into Buckle a few weeks ago. I have never been able to wear clothes in a normal store off the rack. Always the larger sizes. I nervously grabbed a pair of jeans, all the while telling myself I was stupid for even trying. They totally fit!! Now if I could only justify the price :) But still, its worth it right??? :)
Absolutely worth every penny!!! I think I want a pair of Lucky jeans when my bum slims down. Today is my second day on TOM and this is my 4th day bouncing at 183.6-8 ish. It's so hard when you eat perfect and nothing. Why do you think not eating your grissini effects it? I CRAVE my garlic melba toast! Probably because I've always craved carbs. Does NOT eating them really effect anything in your opinion?

I'm on day 18. Like I said before, I'm trying to get to 175 this round and then take a break. Stupid plateau sure messes with your head...
I completely think it is TOM. I am predicting you will have a nice drop as soon as it is over. You are still early enough in the protocol that you should be continuing to drop for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI use a book by Linda Prinster regarding the protocol and one of the suggestions to increase losses is to try dropping one or 2 of the grissini. I honestly can't say if that makes a difference. I did not eat grissini last round very often, and I do all the time this round. I think my losses are as good this round. But I did get a full pound drop after taking them both out yesterday. There again could be a total coincidence. I think you could try experimenting and see what works. Wait until TOM is over and then see if you get a big drop and if things keep moving.
Thankfully, so many people are noticing and making comments. It feels awesome. Makes me want to be good, even when I don't feel like it :) Are you doing 23 days or 40 days? I think 175 is absolutely doable on the 40 day.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. Today is the day I want to cheat. I just went to Costco and wanted so bad every single one of the samples. I am doing at least 23 and will stop whenever I get to 175. I really don't know if I could do 40??! I might just have to though to get there. My problem is I love bread and cookies and starch. I am having to change everything in my life. That's why I'm a little nervous for P4. Wow. But I'm sick of being fat. Plain and simple. I'll keep you posted!

The key is to replace our old favorites with newer healthier versions that taste amazing because we have been off sugar for so long. Tell me what you think of it. I drool everytime...... yum!!!! :)
