R2 P2 D6...

Down -1.6 lbs! Yeah! This is official virgin territory for me :) I had been up to a pound under LIW for most of P3, but this is a number that I have not seen before!! I am happy that the protein powder seemed to be fine. That will make it easier for me. 3.8 lbs to go until the 150's!!

Here is what I ate today:

Yerba Mate Tea hot

grissini, 1/4 apple

chicken in romaine leaves, 1/2 baked apple

grissini, 1/4 apple

tilapia, asparagus, orange

Pretty good day. I feel better so far this round than I did last round. Last round I was more tired and did not have a lot of energy. Much better.

  1. Hey Jen-
I found your site on the internet & just wanted to say way to go & thanks for keeping such good notes. I just started and I'm on day 9. I'm looking at what you eat and just getting some great ideas. Thanks a bunch! Question- are we really allowed cocoa in the strawberry drink??!

    good luck!
BTW-my picture? Silly! My kids took it of me right after i worked out!:)

  2. Molly-
Thanks for the encouragement! I really do love this program. How are your results going so far?? Regarding cocoa, most have decided that unsweetened cocoa is a spice. I have had no problems using it and I know tons of others that do. Just include the 20 cals in your 500 cals for the day. Or take out a grissini if you want in its place. It helps when you need a fix! :)

I love the pic! Every time I use my phone there is some strange pic as my background that my kids have taken :)

  3. well, today I'm ten days in (including 2 loading). I've lost 12.9 lbs! My problem is that I really don't like veggies - plain and simple. And I'm a boring cook w/ this so I'm scavenging the internet looking for quick and easy recipes. I love that cocoa is considered a "spice". Best spice out there! I want to get to 145 lbs so I have a while to go. I had a baby last year, I'm 6 months away from 40 and everything is just adding up too quickly! I've got to lose the weight just to keep up w/ my 4 kids!

    Good luck!

  4. 12.9 in ten days?? You are rockin! We are soooo alike. My goal is 145 as well. I do not like veggies AND hate cooking!! I tried to make p2 more exciting last round, but this round I just want to get it in, and be done with it :) That protein shake I posted 2 days ago is awesome and no cooking involved. I am going to have that for dinner again tonight. One good thing is that after my first round veggies started to taste much better and I actually craved them sometimes. But back on p2 there is not much room to make them exciting! I will be 40 in 2 years and want to be in the best shape of my life. Hang in there and we both will conquer!! By the way, your pic looks like you are so skinny and don't need to lose an ounce :)

  5. yeah, my pictures IS when I was skinnier! Before my baby! I'm just one of those stories of fertility drugs + ballooning. I love to be active (I was going to play BYU basketball but had a serious injury) but having children has been the trial of my life just getting them here! Then, after packing the weight on w/ baby and drugs, I for the life of me cannot get it off. I've noticed that you also are very active. It's just sad that your size limits you from everything. I'm pretty muscular so I do carry my weight well - don't let me fool you - i look FAT right now, but if I were to get to 145, I would be skinny minny! When that picture was taken I was at 156 doing weight watchers, busting my butt at the gym, etc. I'll have to look at your protein shake. Where did you get Jay Robb protein? And how much spinach do you add? So that's basically your whole dinner? I use Melba toast also.

  7. Jay Robb can be found at whole foods or most health food stores. It is all natural and sweetened with stevia. I use 1 cup water, 30 grams protein powder, 140g strawberries, 2 oz spinach, 1 tbsp cocoa, and 2 stevia packets. Blend till like a smoothie. Green, but tastes good :) That is my whole dinner, no melba. But it makes a tall glass plus another 1/2 glass. Really fills me up. Where do you live now? I am in West Jordan, Utah.

  8. Thanks for the recipe. I'm trying it tomorrow. Do you know why you can't have the same protein for lunch and dinner?

I'm in good ole' Orem! Not from here, just married a Provo boy and we couldn't move far...he has very deep roots.
